Pool Schedule

*NEW TO 2026 DIVING BOARD REGULATIONS*:

To ensure a safer experience for all guests, effective 2026, Pinawa Pool will be introducing new safety measures for using the diving boards.

For using the 2.5-metre diving board; Access will be limited to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 10 and older

  • At least 1.32 metres (4 ft 4 in) tall

For using the 1-metre diving board; access will be limited to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • At least 1.06 metres (3 ft 6 in) tall

These changes are based on recommendation by Public Works and Pinawa Pool Lifeguards, as well as Lifesaving Society Canada's standards, which were created after a Canadian coroner’s inquest investigated a fatal incident where a young child fell from a high ladder. It is a ‘safety-from-falling’ standard rather than just a swimming standard. These standards are designed to reduce the risk of injuries and enhance safety at aquatic facilities.

Why Height Matters:

  • The height requirements ensure a person's center of gravity is high enough and their reach is long enough to safely grip the high guardrails and rungs of the ladders without slipping through

Why Age Matters:

  • The 10-year-old age limit ensures the cognitive maturity required to navigate a high platform responsibly and handle the physical force of hitting the water from that height.

We kindly ask all guests to review this update before planning their visit. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
