Two Rivers Services to Seniors are community-based programs designed to assist seniors or persons with disabilities to maintain their independence and remain in their homes.  Dedicated volunteers and fee-for-service workers provide the following services:

  • Victoria Lifeline
  • E.R.I.K.®
  • Community Tax Programs
  • Falls Prevention
  • transportation escorts 
  • housekeeping
  • Shirley’s Kitchen (Congregate Meals)
  • friendly visiting
  • friendly phone calls
  • telephone check 
  • companion service
  • yard work 
  • errands 
  • translation 
  • completing forms 
  • foot care
  • income tax 
  • vacation home check 
  • various support groups, health and wellness promotion events
  • information, referral and advocacy among others

Two Rivers Transit Service is available to Seniors 55 years and older or those unable to operate a motor vehicle. This service provides transportation for the mobility disadvantaged with Door-to-Door Transportation for medical appointments, adult programming, group charters, and shopping trips at reasonable rates.

Age Friendly

Pinawa was chosen as a pilot community for Manitoba’s Age Friendly Initiative.
